I do not have the cover plate that sits on top of the gas tank, which also covers the air intake tube. I do not know if that could be the difference or not. I just can not find that small piece that cover the tank and intake tube. Ledt me know what you think please.
Thanks

I've just been re reading your postings and noticed you refer to screwing the air fuel needle in and out. You haven't, that is the slow running jet. The main jet needle is attached to the CD piston and you remove it, put the circlip on it in another groove, then put it back in the CD piston, to alter the mixture. That may be why the eBay carb had it loose, you set the circlip into the groove you want, before fitting the carb.

Merryman, U r my hero. I went back and took the top off the carb and took the needle(ebay) out that I out in my old diaphragm and checked it against my old needle and it was not even close. So I cleaned my old needle back in & now I have to hang on it has so much power. Thanks for going back and rereading things. I was messing with the pilot screw. The slow & main jets are in bottom bowl with the float. I learned a lot. Thanks.
