Default 04 honda rancher 400 shift problems

Hey guys Im new here and i have been trying to solve this problem with my rancher. I Put a new clutch in it and now when i turn the key the ESP blinks 12 times . I tried resetting it but it just does it again. I have cleaned and inspected the angle sensor as well as the ECM they both look clean. The 4 wheeler will not stift AT ALL in Auto or ESP modes . It starts fine and engine sounds great I just cannot get it to shift into gear SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME and tell me what i can do to find the problem . thanks !

May have to re-initalize the whole electric shift program..Sometimes when one or more component is removed from atv have to do this....If you dont have an manual you can search web or on here to find the method.....

I did swap the battery from my streetbike if that could mabye be the problem. Someone please help. I do not hear it even trying to shift. it just flashes ESP 12 times and repeats.

Default Try this

I am not sure of the technical term is for some of this, but here goes. In the front of the bike, under the plastic fender and right in front of the steering forks/column (so to speak), there are 4 major wiring harness connections that are zip-tied to a fixed point. Take the off, unplug them, and clean them. What I did was carefully unplug each of them, (disconnect the battery) blew compressed air inside both ends of each connector making sure it is dry. Then I bought some dielectric grease ($10.00 a tube) and put a good amount (like tooth paste on your toothbrush) inside one end. Snapped them together and rode like it was new. No shift problems or blinking on the dash. Don’t forget to zip-tie the connections back to the original location. Everything pointed me to the “angle sensor” too but it was fine.
