Default 416 fuel screw

Ok, on my ole 400ex, i accidentally turnt the fuel screw, messed it all up, tried to fix it and made it worst. I was looking for the idle screw and i guess it turns out i don't have one..... If its like the 300ex's idle screw i at least don't have one I'd appreciate a pic of chart if anyones got one of the idle screw, and maybe some help on how many turns i need to turn the screw.

In the pic above, i see what looks like is the idle screw on the 400ex carb... thats not on mine!

Not exactly sure what you're saying... Any screw you have for adjustment on the carb IS for idle. There's a small flathead screw for air and a larger phillips screw for fuel. If you're running too rich, turn it clockwise 1/8 of a turn a time. If it's lean, do the opposite. To tell you the exact adjustment I need the year of the wheeler.

The idle screw is (in the pic) bottom left with the grooves on the side. The fuel air screw gets set at 2.5 turns from seated then adjust as needed. Not sure what you are asking?

Yeah, i had turned the fuel/air screw, i think i've got it good now.

The pic above is a picture of a 400ex carb i got off the internet. I do not have what is circled in red. (below)

I seem to be missing part of my carb!

To tell the year i beleive its a 2000 with a 416, higher compression, and a TC shorty pipe. Running 93 if that makes a differance. Still on the 2nd tank of fuel from top end rebuild.

I've got it from popping like a mad thing now, runs good.... I'm just missing the idle screw i guess!!

Do you have pics of what you adjusted? You must have an aftermarket carb.
