There are three bolts on the end of your pipe, take them out and your baffle will come right out, i like it that way cause if you want them back in you can just bolt them back in. I had a 250EX here while back and i had my baffle out for six months till i got a pipe for it, I couldnt tell that it changed the power any.

Good explanation & this is perfect method for removing baffle.

Removing the baffle will allow you to do cleaning and maintenance, but don't run it with out the baffle in place...it won't change the power output one bit, it will sound like crap, and you will just be a nuisance to everyone.

i have a 250 ex too and i'm doing the same thing. but im going to jet the carburetor and put a k&n air filter in it and probably buying an exhaust tip. taking the baffle out messes with the air flow. and it does change power a little cause it speeds up all the air in-take and exhaust process
