I have a chance to buy a new 2009 Rancher in camo for $5,850.00.00.
I also have a chance to buy a new 2009 Brute Force 650 Kawi. for $6,100.00.
What would you buy and why?
Thanks in advance.

I had a 650 Prairie in the past and personally did not care for it. The one I purchased new broke down several times on me (sold it with 500 miles on it), always felt it was just too big, and I hated the tranny whine (some like it). I just bought a 09 Rancher AT for my wife and took it out today for a 30 mile ride in the mountains and I may not sell my Foreman and get one for myself. Loved it - strong motor for its size, good ride, light weight and easy to control and the auto mode works well.
That is what I found in my case but others may tell you something different. I would say ride them both if you can before you buy

I prefer my 07 Rancher over my In-Law's 06 Brute Force. Both are SRAs but the EFI makes the whole world of difference IMO. That thing always has choke or hesitation issues. The Rancher is quicker off the line but tops out at 56mph. The BF about 65mph, both are plenty quick.
