Default Engine boggs down when applying throttle

Hi.I have a 1993 Honda 300ex quad. When I start the engine it idles fine. When I apply the throttle it boggs down. Now the air filter is clear, the spark is good, fuel is getting to the carb, and I've rebuilt the carb to no avail. The problem remains.I haven't messed with the timing.Any ideas anyone?Any help is appreciated.Thanx.

I had the exact same problem on my 94 trx300 and it resulted from the fast jet in the carb being clogged. I got the carb apart and cleaned the jets and it fixed the problem. Also if your trx is like mine it has a metal gas tank, i would highly recommend adding an in-line fuel filter if you have not already. I pretty sure it was trash or corrosion from the metal tank that caused my problems....

Regards,
Max

Here's the latest update:Problem remains.I've cleaned the tank, cleaned the inside filter, cleaned the fuel valve on the tank, tore apart the carb(again)and cleaned it again with no results.I'm not sure what else to check.Could it be a compression issue?

Obviously this isn't the place to get any decent help.I'll try someplace else.

i am having the same problem with my 02 300ex. I was having the issue a few weeks a go, cleaned the carb again and it was runnig great, was out riding a couple days ago and ot of no where, it started bogging our when you applied throtle, . Since then, i have tore the carb apart twice and problem remains. Any suggestins would greatly help. And, yes jet is clean, carb is clean, new air filter. Thanks in advance.

I'd first suggest that perhaps you are getting debries into your gas lines. If you cleaned the carb and it worked for a little while and then crapped out again, then have you changed or installed a fuel filter?
