Ok, so I am in the middle of removing my carb.
Looking at the service manual makes no sense at all!
It says "Disconnect the choke cable by turning the SE valve nut, being careful not to damage the SE valve"
Well, I turn the valve nut and nothing happens other than it wanting to come out of the carb.......
Generally you unthread that nut, and withdraw the SE valve from the carb. It will probably be a cylinder shaped thing, with a pin protruding on the end, and a seal somewhere on the side of the cylinder.

I unthreaded the plastic nut all the way out but it won't pull out.
So how should I get it out? Just pull on it really hard and then replace the cable and plastic nut? Or can I buy a bolt to plug the hole in the carb? I've never had to use the choke.
I'd be as gentile with it as possible. After soaking with PB Blaster or whatever, try giggling it around.
Hopefully it will come out and you can clean it up and reinstall. You don't want to plug the hole with something else, as that would leave the choke circuit on.

Oh, well that's no good... How do I get the plastic nut assembly off the choke cable? Or is that what you are saying is seized up?
