Unhappy So I desperately need help with my 400ex! Probably electrical problems.

So today I went to try and start my 01 400ex. I haven't ran it in like 2 or 3 weeks so it was kinda cold. It would start when the choke was up but then it would sputter and die. I would try again, same thing. Eventually I noticed my battery was getting weak so I decided to connect it to the charger (with battery still installed on bike). Later I went to check on it and thought that maybe I can try and start it with the charger connected. I pushed the ignition button and heard a 'zap!' then everything turned off (by everything I mean the green neutral button). After that my quad's light won't turn on. I checked the fuses to see if any of them are burnt. They are both fine, and I still have my problem. Any idea what could be the problem? Burnt battery?

P.S. Neutral light will only turn on when charger is connected. Once it is unplugged, nothing turns on.

Sounds like a poor connection issue to me. Clean the cables up real good along with the battery posts and give it a try.
