Question 2007 Foreman error codes

My 07 Foreman is flashing an error code. "N" flashing 3 times. I can shift manually. The electronic shift buttons won't shift nor will they recognize I'm shifting manually. I've been searching posts and internet with no luck. Please help.

Code 3 is angle sensor.

Remove the right inner fender and disconnect the angle sensor 3 pin connector.

The resistance beteween the pin for the red/blk and grn/blu wires should be between 4 6 k ohm. The resistance should increase as you manually shift up, and decrease as you manually shift down.

You can also check for proper input voltage to the sensor. With the connector still unhooked, turn the key on. On the wiring harness side of the connector there should be 4.7 to 5.3 volts between red/blk (+) and grn/blu (-) pins.

To remove it, you just remove the connector, the two bolts and the cover and pull it and the o ring out.

To install a new one, coat the O ring with oil, line up the flat spot with the gear shift spindle end when you insert it, then rotate it around until the bolt holes line up. Use thread locker.
