Default 420 w/ terra-cross tires

Put on a set of 25" terra-cross tires this spring. Am really impressed with the traction on lose rock and dirt. The cornering is much improved and the general ride on hard pack is good. However in really rough terrain and large rock areas, the ride is rather harsh. I started out at the recommend pressure of 7lbs. and have gradually decreased the pressure to now at 3lbs. The ride on rough stuff is some better.

What are most of you running for air pressure on radial tires with the 420?

I have 26" Mudlite XTR's on my 09 Rincon. I run 5psi. 7 was really hard, tried that once. Have 600 miles on them this summer.

I have 26" zillas. I run 5lbs per tire. You might want to go lower because the radial is a harder tire. Mine still handles good as well.

ive had kenda bear claw tires on my 420 rancher which is a bias tire, made the 420 ride like a lumbrewagon. i have radial tires now, which improved the handling and ride of the 420 alot. but the 420 is a straight axle excellent handling machine in trails and has a very explosive sport quad feel through tight trails and off camber trails, really will stomp alot of other brands in those conditions. but you get the rancher on open roads which are very rough, like logging roads deep rutted fields etc, the ride is quite rough and exhausting and is one of the negative drawbacks of the 420. i have a suzuki eiger as well the suspension is way better and comfortable in harsh bumpy logging road for example at high speeds. i dont think any tire will help the rancher in that area, but a good radial will help out some. the only thing i can think that would change the ride 100 percent is a set of very expensive aftermarket custom gas shocks, too expensive for me. im wondering if the 2010 model 420 rancher with adjustable shocks improved the ride comfort of this atv?
