Default what minimum size air compressor is needed to work on an atv?

Hello, I am looking into purchasing an aircompressor so I can use an impact wrench to get some stubborn bolts off of my quad. I am not going to be running tools from it for an extended period of time, just a brief burst for an impact wrench. What is the minimum size, in gallons and psi that I need? Thanks

Lowes or HD should have a chart for sizing a compressor to your needs.

The typical 5 gal job would be a bit of overkill, but would let you rotate your car tires, and would keep up better blowing things off. It will also work better than a smaller one for seating the bead on tires and stuff like that.

Though a lot cheaper, the direct drive oil-less ones are loud and basically disposable. For the occasional use home owner/home mechanic they will last a lot of years.

If all you want is an impact gun and you have no other use for the compressor, you might consider an electric impact gun.
