That is usually the range I run as well. Additionally, I wouldn't worry about the radial/non-radial mix on an atv. It isn't like you are going to rotate the tires front to back and have 1 of each on a given axle.
Depends on the riding. When I'm riding in the mountains(Rocky, muddy, all different terrain) I run 4 all around. When I'm racing the track is hard packed and very fast(about 60mph average speed) I run 7 all around.
On my 300ex at my last race I ran 3.5psi all the way around and didn't have any problem. Mud, rocks, roots, ruts, sidehilling, etc. It was a little wollowy but I am about 190 lbs so some of that is the weight.
On a fast track I run 6psi all-round and it does great. Skates around a little but runs flat to the ground.
i checked them today and they are at 16 psi, maybe thats why it handles like ****, i mean this thing is realy squirrely at higher speeds. another thing i noticed was the front tires are directional and they are faceing the wrong way...thanks for the replys
Switch your front tires with each other. Put the left onthe right and the right on the left. That will get them spinning in the correct direction. 16 PSI is way to much. That is exactly why it gets squirlly. Try to drop them to about 5psi. That should be a good medium.
The psi is printed on the tires you buy ,it has nothing to do with the ATV you ride.
I hear it all the time " My ATV manual says 5 psi" How does the ATV maker know what kind of tires you will buy down the road? Big difference between 2ply Bais tires vs 6 ply radials.
