Exclamation 01 400ex parking brake problem

So my parking brake does not work what so ever so I figured I might as well adjust it. When I was adjusting it I wasn't able to loosen the nut in the back of the quad. The one that has the brake cable leading to it. When I would try to loosen it with some tools. It would just not budge and the tool would slip and **** up the nuts edges. Is there any easier way to fix the parking brake?

get rid of it. as soon as you adjust it and go for a ride you will have to adjust it again.get a block off plate for the caliper and use silicone to seal it.
