Default tires

I have a 03 trx350 fm and was looking to get new tires.right now she has 24x8x12 on the front and 24x9x11 on the back.My question is can I put bigger tires on that bike? What does those numbers mean? The tires look too small for that bike!

Those are most likely the original stock tires...probably Bridgestone Dirt Hooks. After experimenting with several different oversize tires over the last 10 years, I pulled the old stock tires (which were like new) out of the shed and put them back on and know what, they aren't all that bad (except perhaps in snow and probably mud).

Big huge tires will just turn this sweet little trail quad, into a clunker!

The first number is the tire diameter, second is the tire width, and third is the rim diameter. You have some wiggle room on the first two numbers, but none at all on the last one.

you will have to change the wheels out with 12,s almost all 25 inch tires are by 12 on the rim size.

Most aftermarket ATV tires these days run on 12X7" rims, front and rear. They have a different offset than stock. http://www.itptires.com/utilityatv.html

Again, I think you are wasting your money, and you will adversely effect handling!

What? I have rear 10" rims with 25" tires. Mudlites make 25" for 9" rims and big 27"tires for 10" rims

24x9x11 24 is the tire,s O.D DIA. (outside diameter) can go bigger or smaller, your choice.

9 is the tires width (Can go wider or thinner without a rim change)

11 is the rims O.D DIA.

If a tire company makes a ?x?X11 than its a straight tire swap thats all.

Just check the net for vast aftermarket tires and sizes. Here is one of hundreds of tire sites, this is from ITP mud lites ATs.

http://www.itptires.com/utilityatv/mudlite.html

They make 25x8-11, 25x10-11 for your front rims. 25x12-11 but that may be to wide for 7" wide rims. LOL

We just put on 26x10-12 fronts and 26x12-12 rear tire on a ATV that had 25x8-12 fr and 25x10-12 rears without a rim change.

I have 4 ITP Mudlites for sale. (2) 28x12x12 and (2) 28x10x12. They have only been ridden on 3 short rides and never on pavement. There are no holes plugs or anything wrong with them. They have about 95% tread left or better. I have pictures as well. If interested email me at hjlancas@olemiss.

You should keep the tire dia the same front and back. To match the 25x10x11 rears go with a 25x9x11 or 25x8x11 fronts.
