Default 1979 Honda ATC 110 carb issue...

I have 1979 110 ATC (Honda) that is randomly leaking gas out of a rubber tube that looks like it is attached to the bottom of the carburetor (I think where the float sits)..

Does anyone have a clue what could be causing this or actually what might be the remedy?

Thanks..

I have a link to the picture.. it is the grey hose heading down from the bottom of the carb to the footpeg..

Sticky float perhaps? Or bad needle and seat?

Last poster is probaly right. That is your overflow pipe - so fuel is leaking past the float valve, you can try switching off the gas, then giving a good shot of air through the carb, then try carb cleaner , a good shot and leave in for an hour or so -- but the best answer is to take off the carb and clean it...check the float and the valve for bad shape or wear on the valve .... you don't say if the atv was runnibg before or not.
Anyways, with most Hondas it is always a good idea to use a funnel filter when pouring from a can - 'cos even gas from the station is often dirty ( I've seen more than a few siezed engines where fuel got into the engine oil

Sorry, yes it is running.. and the gas came out even with the petcock turned off. i assume that is the gas left in the bowl that drained out.. so just take the carb off and fill a bucket with carb cleaner for a while and try that? i already replaced the lines, filter and the petock.. I gave it a good carb cleaning.. but might have missed something I guess.

If you gave it a good cleaning then just take off the float and valve - might be an idea to replace them - but try cleaning first

The bowl drain screw also lets gas drain through that hose. If u have opened that screw to drain the bowl then it could be that. Sometimes a small piece of trash prevents that screw from seating correctly. Take out the drain screw, clean it off with a light grain piece of sandpaper, and re-install. Sometimes, over the years, it will get some very tiny burs on the screw and it won't seat properly.
Just a thought......
