I took my 2000 rancher for a spin today and heard a high pitched squeal that sounded like it came from the front end. The guy I bought it from put a small lift on it(dont know what brand) and it has a set of 25" bearclaws on it. I also have a Warn 424 on it. It sounded like the noise came from the 424, I propped the quad on its rear rack and spun the front tires shook them as best I could and no noise. I felt the front axle for heat-none! But when I touched the 424 unit it was warm, should it be? Is there a way to lube the shaft of the 424? I dont even know if this is it or not Im just trouble shooting.It isnt a constant squeal it comes and goes. Any suggestions?
