I have always respected honda for being the top dogs in the past and being tough and have owed hondas but alot of people have told me the yfz is the one...is this true and ive also seen that what people own is the best but all aside is the yfz faster they do have a 5 valve head ect,im not saying it is but would like to hear some true facts not just i love honda so it the best, i dont mean to offend any 450r owners, I used to love my yz but kawi's and CRs were all over it the only thing i could give a run was a suckziki rimmer but i loved the ol y zinger!!

Forgot to tell us where you are riding.................

You're from Maine, so I figure it's not desert (the 450R is the king of the desert!). I would pick the YFZ for the track and play riding, and the R for fast trail riding and more open country. I wouldn't pick either one for technical trail riding, the crown there belongs to the 400EX.
