Default I DID it!!! BOUGHT an 06 450R

What a differance from a Kodiak 450 to this Rocket. It's like night and Day!
How do I tame this Power! It's all I can do to hold on!! I got it right out of the crate without one scratch on it's shiny Black paint. Rode around the yard for about an hour then changed the oil and filter. Got to get a pipe, any suggestions?

SWEET!!!!!!!!!Told ya it was just a matter of time!..............
The 06s are really nice. They were my second choice (a close second). Get use to it good first then get the HRC kit. I'd probably put a full HMF pipe on it but the Honda boys would know more bout that. Looks like we'll have another drag racer out at St. Joes.............See ya out there!...........

I hope you didn't use synthetic oil. That's way to soon to even change the break in oil.

I guess that's not way too soon. I must have forgot that part when I read this before I got mine. It's an awesome acticle on properly breaking in a motor and some common myths. Lenghty read but well worth reading the entire article.

I fixed it here too.

Congradulations man!
make sure you dont break it in with synthetic oil, but once you do break it in go right ahead. Greatly consider getting the HRC kit.. I went to the track a couple of times on my friends yz125 (modded) There is a strip that we all do short races on, 3 weeks ago i pwned the 450r and a z400, then He gets the HRC kit, and boy.. I ate Dirt!!!.. im so glad i have a rich friend to mooch off of ANYWAYS yea good luck with it be careful, take my advice get the HRC kit

It's ripping your arms off and you still want to get an exhaust?
Well, you will get more power from a good aftermarket exhaust and cam but you will also pay more than the HRC kit. If you think you will end up getting a full exhaust in the future anyway than just go that way first. If you go aftermarket it will be LOUD, so consider where you are riding it first. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Guys! I haven't changed to Synthetic yet. Ozark, how right you were! Looking foward to St Joe and trying to learn this Drag Racing thing, Sure looks like Fun! Glad I didn't have this thing when I was 18. Now If I can just figure out how to keep my buddies off my 450R.
