We are removing the rear axle on my 97' 300 EX and can't figure out how to remove the clip that holds down the nut on the very end of the rear right axle. Does anyone know how to remove this clip without tearing the axle all to heck?? Please help so we can get the bearings switched out and I can go riding on Sunday!!! if you are talking about the little ring under the locknut the you should take one screwdriver to pry it out a little then another small one to stick up under it and pop it out of the groove. The only other ring i can think up is the snap ring, for that all you need is some snap ring pliers.
