How much horse power does a stock 300ex have???

i had a trx250x that had 16...........i dont know if that helps but they are only like 30 cc's in difference i think and i could hang right beside my friend tommy on his 300ex. both had the same dg pipes

ok thanks from what i have heard they have around 17 to 18 but i dont know if its true though.

no its between 16-18 rwhp you might get a little more hp to the crank but its about 16-18 to the rear wheels

That would add about 0.5-1 hp....

In general pipes are pipes. Some are tuned to different RPM's, but they all give you about the same results.

If you were to put on a pro-flow or K&N filter, with a full exhaust, and jet the carb properly, I think regardless of which exhast you use, you can expect at least 5% gain, up to about 10% gain. Since you are starting with 18 hp, that only gives you about 1.5 hp... Now if you were to do all of the above, *and* put in a different cam, to take advantage of the better breathing system, you might see 20%, which would put you in the mid 20's.

I had been informed in another post a while back that the 250X actually had more HP than the 300EX ?? The Warrior is supposedly 18hp stock, and has more power than the 300EX.
