I like my Duro Power Grips, aside from the sidewall plug I got the first 20 miles out, in which I got a new tire from Duro (long story). Though the plug is still holding after 250 miles.. so it is staying on the rim, the new tire will sit in the garage

Did you look at the Zilla? Maxxis makes 2 types:

MudZilla = mud tire

Zilla = All around trail tire based off of the Mudzilla.

The guy I rode with last weekend had 27" Zilla's on his 08 Grizz 700 and loves them. We made it through the same mud holes all day...

When the Duro's wear out, I will probably get the 26" Zilla's for my machine.
