Don't forget the Limestone Vol. Fire Dept.'s Dice Run this weekend. We're getting alot of calls about this and it sounds like it's going to be alot of fun. Limestone is on Route 219 (Exit 23 off I-86) in the Southern Tier of Western, N.Y. Allegany State Park is our back yard. Registration starts at 9:00 til' 11:00 a.m. Chicken BBQ's available until they run out afterwards. Call Mike at 716-925-8813 with any questions, directions. No registration or insurance required. You DO have to wear helmets.
How often do you have these runs? I read about this one AFTER you had it, on another ATV message board. They were raving about how good it was. TICKED me off!!! Ironically I go right by your place on my way to Majestic Trails outside Bradford, PA. Sounds like a good time.
Markymannnn, we are going to have our dice run, atleast for now, once a year. Most of the land owners don't want us on their property in the spring, and beggars can't be choosers, if they'll let us do one big one per year, we'll take it. Next years is scheduled for the last weekend in September and we're going to try and keep that weekend from now on. We've had nothing but positive response regarding our run. We ended up with 442 machines, mostly 4 wheelers. We're hoping to get this event up to around 1000 - 1200 machines and cut it off at that number. The trail was 35 miles long this year and I'm assuming it will be around the same next, so it will definitely support that number of machines. We'd like to bulid it up to a 2 day event with camping and a cookout on Friday night along with the chicken bbq's on Saturday, maybe offer a breakfast in the morning, etc. Thanks for the response and hopefully we'll see you next year.
Markymann & Kegcan, Just an update on the Limestone Vol. Fire Dept. Dice Run. I had said that we were going to try to have it the last weekend of Sept., but after some discussion with some landlords, they asked if we'd move it back one more week, which we did. Without a calandar infront of me, I'm going to say it will be Sept. 17th. Regardless, it's the 3rd weekend in September. I'm curious Markymann what web page you read about our ride on? I would like to advertise on it next year. Thanks for the interes everyone, see you next year.
Hello everyone. You're right, with some of the land being leased for hunting, they want to give the hunters an extra week to stake out their territory. I believe the date is the 16th, it's the 3rd Saturday of September. I've been out on a project and haven't had time to really look at the calandar, but again, it's the 3rd weekend. Thanks again.
drove in from arcade, had a blast at this dice run. Had some issues overheating and so did my buds but we just shredded those trails. awesome time, will def be there next year.
