Searching for Hensim 50cc gas tank
Hello all - first post!
My brother in law was given a Hensim 50cc for my nephew. was told "everything is good just needs a battery and fuel line"
Yeah, riiiight.
anyway my dad has had it - new battery and there's still no electrical anywhere - gotta start troubleshooting that first, but he's also diagnosed some stress cracks in the fuel tank that were jb-welded by the prev owner.
while most online parts searches yield similar looking tanks in the $35-45 shipped range - I can hardly find anywhere that has an identical tank to what we've got and when I do they're $90-170. Notice the mounting ears on the top of the tank near the back - those seem to be specific to just this particular quad.
While ths model of replacement tank looks almost identical in shape and style - it has the 2 bolts protruding from the top and no mounting ears - which I'm told the bodywork mounts to.
anyone got any suggestions on where to find the correct tank without spending a small fortune?

I could likely cut off the studs, no problem - but the cheap tank doesn't have the mounting points further back where you see the gold threaded inserts. thos mounting points apparently are required for body cladding attachment - and I'm told they are required for everything to assemble. I'm going to put eyeballs on it this evening for the first time.
