Default Help with mystery Kasea Skyhawk

I recently purchased a fairly beat up Kasea Skyhawk mini quad for $70 and cannot for the life of me identify the size or which motor this uses.

It appears to be a Minarelli 90cc 2 stroke , no clutch on this thing.

Do you think I should just rip it out and buy a new engine off ebay? The guy said it was sitting for about 3 years outside.

Here are some pics of it.

It appears to be like this one 2004 Kasea Skyhawk 90 - Yamaha Rhino Forum - Rhino Forums.net

It has two tanks, I'm guessing one is for gas and the other is oil.

It's a jog based motor. ie: polaris/kasea/eton/drr/apex and others all use this type of motor.
There are tons of parts available.
The 2nd tank would be for 2 stroke oil.
FYI: Altho yours isn't looking that good at the moment, your Kasea is a finely made Tiawanese machine.

i see a lot of potential there with this quad. definitely needs a front end alignment. good thing you got the "before" pics, we'll wait for the "after" pics to come soon.

What would I Google as far as finding a 50/90cc motor for this?

Is this considered a short case engine? What i am looking to know are keywords I can search for.

It seems like any Yamaha Jog based motor or Minarelli model will work. I haven't had a chance to inspect the one it currently has but will tomorrow or this weekend. Looks like a 3 beer job.

Does a motor from a polaris 90 with transmission for $125 sound good? I think so.

Depends. Like you found out, there are different cases. Polaris used the different ones I'm 99% sure.
I don't think the polaris cases will work.
Better investigate further before you spend money.
