Default coolster 150 dx2 not charging

So I bought a new coolster dx2 to follow the kids around with. Everything seemed fine except the battery is not sealed and acid has been splashing all over. Anyways after a day of riding I was having to kick start it because it would not start. The lights are very dim and I can tell the battery is not charging. Anyone else have issues with this? I am going to check it out in a couple days and see if I can figure it out. It is brand new, less than 2 tanks of gas.

Check the charging rate if it was overcharging and then not charging Regulator but the Battery may be bad they are SHYTE from the dealers

Battery not sealed? did the dealer forget to put the caps on? if you have battery acid splashing every ware you probably should not be riding it. Also the battery is now probably low on water/acid and will not accept a charge

Its a motorcycle battery, the one with the vent hose on the side. All the caps are there and perhaps I had put to much acid to begin with. I am ordering a sealed battery from amazon today and I will check and see if it is charging. I bought it online and put it together myself. It should not have come with this battery. Oh well, you get what you pay for haha. On the other hand, it is pretty powerful, I have driven over things I shouldnt have and got it up to 34mph via gps. I am 220lbs so im prettt impressed with the 150cc with the cvt.

Just charged the battery and checked it out. 12.45volts off, 12.3 running and at any rpm. so the battery is not getting any sort of a charge. now the fun begins i suppose.

I have not been able to get to this thing until now.
First thing i checked was resistance to the charge coil in the stator. I got .9Ω
I tested AC voltage on the wires and it quickly went to 30v and rising while giving throttle. I can assume the stator is good.
I checked ohms on the voltage regulator and got nothing.. no matter how i checked.
Can I assume the voltage regulator is no good? The dealer is already sending one under warranty, just wanted some input.
