Hi,
posted yesterday probs in wrong forum, anyway i purchased a secondhand running 110cc quad brand unknown. it was running perfect then one day turned it off and lo and behold it would,nt fire up, cranking over but no spark.
Anyway i replaced the plug / coil/5pin cdi/stator/ removed the black/white kill switch wire from the cdi unit still no spark just cranking over. Only thing left is the black box with fins which i presume is the rectifier. i do remember the h/lights being erratic when running ,on when they should have be off if i remember rightly.
thanks for any help

Try earthing the kill switch wire on the cdi, some of them work the opposite way round.
