Default My Mystery Carb isno longer a Mystery

I finally got a chance to pull the mystery carb off my sons Dinli and identify it. It's a Walbro WJ98 series Carb but the problem is it's most commonly used on Chainsaws and some other small power equipment. I can't help but wonder if this is why the Dinli would idle great all day long but had poor throttle response.

Have any of you guys had/heard of Dinli's performing well with this type of carb ?

Seems to me that it wouldn't be able to provide a sufficient fuel/air supply because they're made for smaller engines and the Quad has 90cc engine.

Should I start searching for a stock replacement of the unit that was supposed to be on the machine ?

Where / who sells replacement units fairly reasonable and what should I expect to pay for it ?

Here's pics of the Walbro unit that came on the Quad when I bought it

Does look like a chain saw carb. You might look at this, plus read his specs. May or may not be what you need. Plus there are other carbs for Dinli listed on Ebay.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dinli-50cc-110cc-E060085-REAL-WALBRO-CARBURETOR-CARB-OEM-DINLI-RARE-/301005138746?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46154deb3a

That I couldn't tell you. Read the sellers description and specs at the bottom of the listing talking about the Chinese knock off variations of this carb. He could be correct or this could just be a load of bs just to sell his carb. Plus there are several Chinese "Walbro" carbs listed on Ebay that are considerably cheaper that you might check out that's supposed fit your machine.

It reads more like a crock of crap IMO but might be true

I found a few Jap units on Ebay @ fraction of the cost for a Walbro and they seem to have some very positive feedback so I think I'll roll the dice & buy 1 of those. If it craps out on me I'll bite the bullet and buy a Walbro.
