Default Bashan 200S-7 (2008) Spark Plug????

CAn anybody tell me what the original spark plug code is for this quad and the NGKR number. I've just put a new one in my Bashan along with new piston and rings. The one i put in is a NGK-R DR8ES. I threw the old one away before getting the number but it was different (idiot LOL). Not sure why its running iffy when warmed up. Thought it was the carb that had oil in it before i did the work.

Cleaned the carb out and reset it (It was on the richest pin setting????) any reason why.

When hot it struggles to drive past 30kmh and hesitates alot even died on me then started again after 5 minutes as if its being starved of fuel. I've checked the fuel lines and fuel is getting there ok just wondered if it was the spark plug i've bought!!

Any help would be appreciated or if anybody has one can the give me what plug code they have as ive looked online and there is a few
regards

Lee

If you have a DR8ES in it now basically the same plug. The R stands for resistor.

I am going to ask the question...
How do you know it is a different number IF you don't know the old number? Is that you hope it is the wrong number so you can buy a new one and then that will fix the problem?

When did it develop this problem? Before or after the piston and ring job? Or after you "reset" the carburetor?
Is it getting exceedingly hot or just normal running hot.? How long does it take for it to get this hot?

I know it was different as when i took it out i half clocked the old number and it was different to the new one. Should have kept the bloody old one but there you go. It only started playing up when the new piston, rings and plug was fitted. When cold it runs mint but after 5/10 min it starts struggling to drive and bogs. Idles fine but when you hold the revs up its very uneven

OK, I am just guessing at this, but my guess is it isn't after it sits and idles for 5/10 minutes, and another guess on my part is that it isn't overly hot or as I put it in my question to you it isn't "exceedingly hot". How am I doing on my guessing??

Try a new NGK D8EA like "Old Polaris Tech said"

That should be the plug for it.

Also another question for you. Why did you buy the plug that you did for it, when you didn't know what went in it??

I sound like a smartass don't I ?? I tried to help you. I asked questions that you didn't/ wouldn't answer. I used proper English instead of slang so there would no mistake on what I was saying, didn't I? I wanted you to understand what I was saying to you. so I could help you.

let me guess again... You don't care..

Anyway that should be the plug for it.

Good Luck

Thanks to ''Old Polaris'' the D8EA worked a treat although not an NGK-R a normal NGK but who cars its running good again although a little spluttery when you first excelerate but cruizes fine so presume its **** in the filter or air filter when the carb got caked in oil so gonna get a new aire and fuel filter next week but happy days..Thanks for all the help!!!!
