Question ata125 D maintenance check-list

I bought my son a new ata 125 D for Christmas but the owners manuel wasn't very helpful with maintenance and other things that need to be maintained on his atv. Does anyone have a helpful list...also, there is another cap (not for oil), is this for transmission fluid? everytime I try to put anything in it it just runs out? I'm not mechanically inclined at all so any suggestions/lists would help.
Thanks,
Tonya

I really don't know if the 125cc engine is just a slightly modified 110cc engine or not. Perhaps others can comment. Here is a link for a 110cc manual that covers a lot of routine maintenance:

http://www.cbxmanmotorcycles.com/Dow...ice-Manual.pdf

Check it out and see if it matches your engine. Even though the quad brand name is different, often the engines are all copies of the same design.

That "other cap" is probably an access port to allow a timing to to shine down onto the ignition timing marks. You're not supposed to put oil in there, though you have plenty of company with others who have done the same thing.

The transmission shares the same oil as the engine.
