Default kazuma 110 transmission oil

Hi,

We just got a Kazuma 110 on Friday.

On one side there is a chrome dipstick (uh with no dipstick) where the engine oil goes in. Then you watch the site glass. Got that part figured out.

But before that I put motor oil in under a chrome cap that had a slot in it. On the top left side of the transmission.

1. Where did I just put motor oil at? *IS* that the transmission?

2. Can I use motor oil in there?

3. If not what to do then?

Please help.

yes the transmission and the engine share the same oil, use a good grade of 10-30 motor oil, make sure you change the oil before starting and riding the atv for the first time

Thank you Bill.

How do I tell how much to put in on the left side transmission hole?

The chrome one with the slot on top.

Or do I only add it to the right side where the sort of oil dipstick is? then it flows to both sides?

Thank you

the chrome one with the slot on the left side of the engine is to look at timing marks on the flywheel, not oil. the oil fill hole is on the right side towards the rear where the dip stick is or was, the oil lubes both the transmission, clutch and engine thats why it very importance to keep the oil change.

Just as a side note make sure you use Motorcycle oil it has different friction capabilities so it may lubricate the clutch and trany properly. I have been told that you will cause undo wear on the engine if you use straight up motor oil.

oh c-rap!

I put oil into the flywheel side then!

how do I drain that out? take the side cover off?

thanks for your help thus far...

I know my V-force 700 inside and out but am struggling a little with this bike. And the <cough> Kazuma manual with all the pictures isn't very helpful... argh.

OK I called John and he said it should have drained out of the vents, which it did and that's what caused me to find the dipstick on the other side.

He said it will dry out and be fine, but I like your advice too, should only take a little bit to clean that out.

thank you.
