Default Predator 260 overheating issues

I bought my kids a Chinese Predator quad for Christmas and it overheated the first time they drove it. The hose coming from radiator going to motor is hot and the return hose from the engine to radiator is cold. What would be causing this problem?

Thanks,
Tom

you sure its a 260? i can find info on 250 and 300?
How do you know its overheating? Pull the rad cap off and let it run it may have a air block in it. Or thermostat may be faulty

Thanks for the reply, the guy that I bought it from said it was a 260. Its possible that it might be a 250. There is a red temp light coming on after it runs for a bit.

pull the thermostat and toss it in a pan of boiling water and see if it opens before you just replace it. Could be thermostat, could be pump, could just be a simple air lock or plugged rad. You can probably just run without it. just will take longer for the engine to warm up
