Modifying Clutch on 110 and 125 auto
Hi,
I picked up 110cc and 125cc chinese quads for my kids and I find they could use a lot more low end torque or some clutch work. Both have a one speed forward and reverse auto transmission.
The power is reasonable once you get moving and get the engine higher up in the revs but lacks that low end get off the line power. Any idea if anyone sells springs for the clutch in these to raise the rpm the clutch engages?
I've ordered a mikuni VM22 carb and intake, free flow exhaust, Performance CDI and a smaller front sprocket which I know will help, but I know the rpms the clutch engages at needs to be higher to get it more in the sweet spot.
It has the same clutch as found on this link:http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-Teeth-Clutch-W-Main-Gear-110cc-125cc-Fully-Semi-Auto-With-Reverse-ATV-/130951090865?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7d4b12b1&vxp=mtr
Anyone played with the clutch on these?
