Default DS650 rear shock is leaking oil.

Oil will drip out of the rear shock if it is compressed a few times. I assume it will loose its dampening. Is it toast? If so what are my options? Thanks!

To answer your first Q: Yes the seal in the shock is bad.......

To answer your second Q: They can be rebuilt but it's not cheap to do.......

I have a set of 02 Baja Shocks F/S in the What's in your Garage section. Check it out...........

I blew mine out having too much fun as well. I had it re-valved and re-built by Shock Therapy Racing for about $150 a few years ago. Motorcycle Shock Rebuilding Revalving. Shock Therapy Racing's Official Website! It's a crappy website, but the shock is still holding up well. But, it looks like Bigdaddy will get you all three for less dough, that way you have spares when you bend the shafts on the stock front shocks like I did.
