That sounds like a good reason to move to Az. :-) I wouldn't need my truck, I'd use my motorcycles & 4wheelers as my main source of transportation.

I am so jealous. If It weren't so much work to move all the toys, I would consider moving there. It would take quite a few trips. I have 5 DS650's, a mint 200X, a Honda Odyssey, 7 motorcycles.. and a bunch of that non-important stuff, like clothes & dishes.

That is a UK site and has no real bearing on US rules/laws because each state has different laws regarding what is and is not legal to be registered for use on the road.

Now if you can legally register a quad in Arizona, is that vehicle legal to ride in other states?

not sure about all the states but i know in california it doesn't matter about your home state... YOU CAN NOT RIDE ON THE STREETS there. i think it is the same in wisconsin.

No, every state is different as far as licensing ATVs. CA doesn't let you do anything. I believe WI has a tire size limit.
AZ just started an OHV, off highway vehicle sticker. It's really confusing and has 3 stickers but I got the "primarily off road" sticker. It's still $25 but I don't have to pay regular vehicle tax on my plates which would go off value of your vehicle. I paid $5 for my plates for the year. In case you're wondering about our vehicle registration fees for cars and trucks, they go off of value. If you bought a $40,000 car, your registration would be about $600 a year and it would depreciate 16% every year. Unless the police see me driving on the road everyday to work, they can't say that my ATV is "primarily on road". Sort of a loophole that the UTV crowd found.
