Anyone ever ran the Cheng Shin C829 knobby? I thought I saw a pic of Scooby's bike with a set on. The weight is listed as 12 lbs for the 25/12-9 but it's only a 2 ply, that would free up a few lbs. of rotating mass. Whatch'yall think?

Also, anyone know who sells 14 tooth 520 sprockets? Ron Wood?

Alright guys, y'all convinced me! The 25/12-9 Cheng Shin C829's go on tomorrow, I'll post pics. I spoke will Elliott at Ron Wood today to get the 14 tooth 520 sprocket but it was not available so I went with a 42 rear from 35, so I'll have 15/42 520 gearing with 25" rears, should lower my current gearing about 7%. I'll tell y'all one thing though, those 829 2 ply's sure are light!

Hey man, did you get the 42t rear from Ron Woods? Is it aluminum or steel. I really need a steel 42t. Thanks.

I assume it's aluminum, didn't ask, kinda figured if it's a 520 sprocket it's for weight reduction so it should be aluminum. Yeah it was from RW. Just took my first test ride & I'm actually happy with the 15/35 gearing with 25's. Super tall but 5th sure is overdrive. If I'm in 5th now I'm cruising in the 80's and barely breathing...and DANG those cheap crappy little Cheng Shins hook up!!!
