Default Outlander vs. renegade, what to buy

Well now i have been in a debate for about 2 weeks now.

I want to know what i should get in your guys opinion.

I was debating on getting the 2009 renegade 500 vs, the 2009 Outlander 800 xt.

Whats better for mud, not extremely deep but you never know.

I was told by the dealer that i can mount a plow on the renegade but idk how much snow that thing can push compared to the outy.

Any info on both would be appreciated.

well if ur gonna be using it for fast trail rides even with a lot of mud the renegade will do the job. The outlander will go through more mud, and it would have more power and ground clearence and stuff like that. So if its just for fun then probably the renegade but if you want work and fun then go with the outlander. You could also take 2 people on the outlander way easier

If between the 500 rene and the 800 outlander I would take the outlander, the power difference for the fun side is night and day but the 500 twin in the rene is no slouch either for it's size. As far as plowing, the rene will plow just was well as the outlander will, the renegade is only slightly lighter than the outlander. For mud riding both are very capable bikes, the outlander will just keep you cleaner. Besides the engine size (and that is only the bore and stroke), the only difference between the outlander and renegade are the plastics and the front suspension.
