Default DS 650 rear brake locking up?

Lately the rear brake has been locking up while riding. When this happens I'm not touching the brake at all and am only on the throttle. It just comes to a stop, and of course stalls since the clutch wasn't pulled in. Its happened on flat sand and in mud. I haven't taken the brakes apart. The system appears to be full of fluid, and the rotor is not warped. Otherwise the brakes work fine. I Have no ideas here??????

Your rotor is probably to thin, as it gets hot it is warping.
Also check all the clamps around the brake hose to make sure they did not get smashed.

Any chance your rear brake pedal pivot bolt needs to be lubed? When I bought my DS650 the previous owner had not lubed the pivot bolt - it was rusted to where the brake pedal would not fully return and either lock up the rear wheel or just drag real hard...

I had a similar problem about a month ago. I would be driving along and without hitting the brakes my rear end would lock up. I also ride a ds650. It turned out to be that the rear bearings were shot and they allowed the axle to shift in the housing, which caused the bolts that hold the sprocket on to catch on the chain tightener. May be a good idea to check to see if you have the same problem.

Had the same prob on mine several years ago after having let it sit. Rear bearing locked up and that was the same initial symptom i had was the break locking up.
