2000 ds650 ignition problem still!!!!!
well ive been working on my ds for a few months now trying to figure out whats wrong with it . well a few months back i was riding around and then it suddenly died on me to never start again . at first i tought it was the cdi because we checked all the fuses and there all good . so i went and bought a new cdi, and still no spark . so then i was told to try the pick up coil . and i bought a new one and still nothing .i checked all the wires all the grounds are still good and there is no loose wires anywhere . but when i turn the key to on it lets out 1 single spark as i turn the key . but when i turn it over theres nothing . and this problem is becoming very frustrating .. i just wanna ride my baby . pls help im completly out of idea's

About the only thing left is the Rectifier located under the airbox. It is a little metal box with wires coming out of it. It has cooling fins on it. It kills voltage and if it no longer has continuity the bike won't have spark.
On most bikes the coil and plug wires would be suspect as well but the DS has two of each and the odds of both being bad at the same time are pretty remote........
I think you are to the point of replacing the rectifier as the next step.
