It would seem by the review that the testers are very partial to IRS quads. I am not so, even though the order they put them in is almost oposite of the order I would put them in except for the winner that is. I think this is interesting, that both IRS fans and SRA fans are all picking the BRP 800 as the new number one quad out.

Why'd they put the Polaris 800 over the BF 750, BF 750 is faster, cheaper and better. And why wouldn't they include the KQ in the shootout I know it's not as powerful as the top 3 but it's definitely a Big-Bore. I no I'm not getting "Quad Magazine". The only thing they got right is the Outty 800, it's definitely the best out of the box.
I wouldnt take a whole lot into the rankings. How you rank them depends on more what you want from the quad. Each one is better than others at certain things.
Th king is not a twin, So it was not put in the test. The test was not title big bore test but V-twin test. I also thought it odd they didn't just call it a test of the twin powered quads since the polaris is not a v-twin. I thought the first issue was so good , I subscribed but the second issue was a little lacking on detail and a bit offbeat on some the oppinions IMO. I do however agree with the 800 Bomb being the winner but that was about all I agreed with and I own the 800 sportman and the prairie 700. In a long run the sp800 will beat the prairie but in short runs the prairie beats the sp800 in the testing I have done with my own quads, so I don't know how the BF750 and the P700 both lost in drags with the sp800. Like I say other than the winner the rest of there order seemed backwards to me.

It just seems odd to me that they'd just test the Twins, because it makes it look like all that matters to them is the quads with 2 cylinders, hopefully they have a real Big-Bore test. Is that finishing order from a drag race or is it their overall opinion, because I don't see how a AC 650 could be faster than a P700.
It was the overall results and, yes the AC was in last place in the drags and power department. The ac was placed ahead of the P700 for its IRS. I have road the the AC V2 and I would swear my p700 is smoother riding than it was. The AC's suspension is set so stiff for its lack of a sabalizer bar that it felt rough riding to me. I found it odd that most of the test I have read over the past several years IRS was not everthing , but to this group of testers, it seemed it was to them. I particulay like how they said given a choice on a long trail ride they would always chose the SP800 for its smooth ride. I don't disagree that the Sp800 is very smoth riding, but it is also very borring to ride and I chose my Prairie/Twinpeaks over my Sp800 all the time. Thats why I am planning to trade the Sp800 for a Bomb 800 ASAP.

the shootout should have been called " semi-objective two-cylender shootout." How does one define big bore now? Years ago a grizzly was a big bore, but now what is it? a moderate bore?

The AC suspension are fully adjustable. The one you were on must have been set to the highest setting. When adjusted lighter, they are very soft. Sway bars can be had on the 2006's.
