Why don't you quit coming to this forum if you don't want to hear about IRS. It is what has made the SP500 Polaris' flagship. Makes sense to me that alot of people really really like it. If they would have offered it in the bike you have now for no extra cost, I'll bet you would have gotten it. So, quit getting all teary-eyed about IRS because its here to stay. Walmart has a special on Kleenex this week. Maybe you should go see if you can get some if you intend to keep coming to this forum. I guess you also get tired of hearing about true 4WD. Yeah, who would want that? The 3WD is by far superior, right? Unless you just drive smooth trails and dirt roads, true 4WD and IRS make a significant difference.

Walexa,

YOU THE MAN!! I sold my 3 wheel drive, leg cooking, top heavy log wagon riding Grizzly to purchase the first of my 2 SP500s. I make the same challenge to these guys as I have made to the Rubicon Riders. But these guys will not take me up on it. Everyone with a solid rear axel will definitely lose the mud race. I think they will lose the sport bike race and barrel race. I know popular opinion is a SP500 is unstable around turns. Come race and we will see. The only way a grizzly will beat a sp500 is in a straight line on smooth gound.
If you disagree, we can find out on our ATVs not on a keyboard.

The Grizzly is Cheaper, lighter, faster and can carry just as much gear on the racks as the BOMB. And can get you there quicker too. If your young and have lots of adrenaline you want the Grizz, if your over 30 and like to work more than anything, the BOMB might be better, but you better have an extra 2 grand to put down.
The Grizzly was left simple with less to go wrong with, sure liquid is good but if you blow a rad hose in the bush you are not going anywhere.
Oh ya the Grizz is a sport/Utility, not just Utility, go to the Yam site, now who is on CRACK.

Read before mouthing.......

aaathat is cute Polaris guys telling us to quit coming to this forum if we dont want to hear about IRS. Thats whats made the sp500 Polaris's flagship model. LAST I CHECKED THIS WAS A BOMB FORUM not the polaris one. And as far as i care the polaris is a fine machine just like the bomb is. They just pack way to much weight for me to sport around on. Well the weight and i HATE Polaris brakes.

I hope you guys look at the Post in the Honda Forum. I am hoping to get together all of the big bikes and have a competition. Not just a mud race but sand drags, barrel races and sport bike track races. I don't think the Traxtor will win even one of the events. The Griz will probable win the drag race and SP 500 will probably win the mud race. As far as the other two, alot of variables come into play such as handling, suspension for the jumps, rider ability etc.

I know you guys are not in East Teaxs but we hope to have all the bikes represented. We are going to time the events and post the results. By the way, I have only ran the barrel race one time. I had my 27X12X12 vamps on and was only 2.5seconds slower than the fastest sport bike which by the way was a Polaris Scrambler.

We will see when people stop talking and compete against the SP500 in a real comp. I beleive it will remain the Top 4X4.

To all sport riders,

Why not venture into the world of utility types, and if you think a Griz is a real utility model you are in for a rude surprise.
If it cant make a small showing against the Traxter in grunt ability, where should I look for its giant ability? maybe the cooling, belt drive, gee there must be something positive about it ?
I am sure the Griz has some redeming features, but grunt is certainly not one.

Yes one can configure a race event designed for ones specific ATV, If I were to set up a race course for the Traxter, it would not include a drag race unless it included pulling 800 lb sled, also testing which model could pull the most weight. Dont want to hear about highest speed, smoothest ride, nicest paint job nor brightest wheels, just grunt power and traction.

I am aware any event can and will be slanted infavor of a specific unit.

I guess that is why I laugh so much when I read this nonsense posted here.

To all Traxter riders: Don't let Gregsims get you down on the Traxter. We all know the Sp500 is the BEST ATV ON THE PLANET. That is why Gregsims owns 2 of them!!! One in the shop, the other is still there to ride. But soon Gregsims will buy a third, to still have soemthing to ride while the others are in the shop. Give it a rest GREG!!!! Come on up to Alaska and I'll show you and your SP500 some muck!!! Of course it is to far, and you spend most of your money paying for parts for those Quads of yours. Unlike you i don't have the money to by two (or three) of everything, but my one Ruby will out last your two SP500's. By the way IRS sucks in some situations, unless we are talking about ride, when will you wake up? You must just pack your beer around on your rear rack. Have seen the Traxter at work or one on the trail? Excellent Machine in the mud, and is not slow or boring. Would of bought it, but didn't like the step through design, but others do and they are a GREAT machine. IRS,,,, give me a break the only thing Polaris can brag about!!!

PS: When is Polaris going to make you their Star rider? I am going to buy your poster when then they do. Oh wait, Polaris doesn't advertise like the others, that is why they get screwed on REVIEWS!! HA HA HA.....
