MILEAGE- To buy or not to buy.

So, I'm looking at buying my first wheeler. The one I've been looking at is an 07' Suzuki King Quad 700 4x4. I've been reading around and been finding mixed results/answeres about mileage.

The mileage on this one is 3400. Aparantly it was owned by the state of NM previously. Is it safe to assume that this machine was properly taken care of? The plastic looks okay... probably been stored outside. The tires are worn pretty good. I test drove it around the parking lot there, and in my opinion it drives really well. I talked the dealer down to $3599 on the price, to include a 15% discount on new tires and any other accessories I may need.

I guess my question is, should I wait to find a better deal? Or should I jump on this one assuming the risk of breakdown due to wear+tear?

this is just me, to me thats alot of miles! has it been taken care of??? who knows, personally i would feel more comfortable spending another $1500 or so for a machine with less miles. there are alot of moving parts that wear with mileage not just the motor. I look at Ebay quite a bit and do see some decent deals there but usually they are far away. do you ever watch craigslist.com?

like i said this is just my opinion.

not sure how far you are from meso arizona. guy has 2005 700 with 80 hrs and 500 miles with extras for 5200. hes old and had a heart attack so hes getting rid of it and may take less. i found this on craigslist,so if your intrested you may want to make sure its not a scam. i dont think it is,but you never know. phone number is 480 984 6741. i dont know how to post the add like hoytultrtec did,sorry. its only a 450 but its a good low mileage machine with a decent price probably go a bit lower.
