Default 00 Honda 440EX or 04 Raptor 660?

I'm looking to buy a 4 wheeler and it's comin down to this, 440EX or Raptor 660. The 440EX is a 2,000 with a bunch of extras and the Raptor is a 2004 stock. I can get the 440 for like 1,800 or 1,900 and the raptor would be 2,300. Which one is the better deal?

I'd go for the Raptor. Used, bored out motors freak me out. Boring slightly reduces the structural integrity of the cylinder. The raptor 660 was a great wheeler too.

Hands down, I'd pick the Raptor.

Neither one!

Once you bore out a 400EX, the realiability for which they are famous, is gone!

The old Raptors are narrow and carry their weight high in the frame. That makes them tippsy....can't imagine what Yamaha was thinking....

I agree. The great reliability of the 400ex disappears with that 440 bore, blown head gaskets and overheating are what comes with the 440 bore.Get the Raptor.

on this issue all im going to say is i agree with everyone and the bored out 440 they are just horrible but on the same token alot of people buy raptors and sell them right away. everyone will tell u they are amazing and what not just because of the power. thats about all that is good with the raptor is the power. alot of flaws that ive seen happen already with the raptors are jumping and bending frames like a soda can and the handling on them is horrible. if u actually look in a atv sales magazine of used atvs a good portions of them will be raptors and i just explained to why...id personally get a trx450r amazing bike
