Default track layout help

Im building a track and want to know what are good jumps and stuff for a honda 300ex. I would like to have some big jumps but dont want to blow out suspension and need to know what kind of jumps are the first jumps on the track or if i should go with whoops first. I have the track drawn up but dont have any jumps or anything drawn on it.

Yes you are correct but now i have the rest of it drawn up with a big pond in the middle where you have to jump over.

Default track layout help

A 300EX ... hmmm, maybe 40-45 foot jumps at the max? Depends on the suspension and how old of a quad it is. I think 70 feet is about the critical limit of a YFZ450 with stock suspension. You don't want to be casing anything more than that, or you're going to break something. Bone, aluminum, or otherwise

I liked your diagram ... very nicely done. One thing you will need to consider is the land that you have to work with. If this is one flat piece of land with no hills, it's going to be a very expensive and time-consuming endeavor. Usually it's best to look at the land you will be building the track on, and then sculpt it. Otherwise you will be buying A LOT of dirt.

the land that the track will be on is all farm land so we we need dirt. I need to update that picture of my track and you tell me if i will have enough dirt if i dig this pond at 18 feet deep. the track is in a 1.5 acre area so you guess on how big this pond is.

I updated the photo. Im gonna say that the pond is a 1/4 of an acre. I need around 3,000 cubic yrds of dirt

Man is that a project. It would be kick ass when it's finished .. I would certainly want to ride it!! Maybe a few less whoops sections and more rhythms?

Also consider drainage on this track. You don't want it perfectly flat, or it's going to pond water when it rains. You could build the drainage so it would eventually lead to your "water hazard".

I can't believe how much work and upkeep your track is going to take. If you stick with it, have a decent group of friends and everyone pitches in and helps with weed removal and fixing lips, it'd be awesome.

Here's our practice track:
