Default 83 honda atc 185s start/carb issues

heres the scoop. i bought a honda 1983 185s. it ran like a champ till reciently it started to hesatate. u hit the gas and it goes and then slows then goes, very erratic no pattern. kinda like running out of gas but plenty of gas. idle was ok kinda rough and seemed like it wanted to die. but hard to start. to begin with it would start up 1st or 2nd pull every time. a friend said the carb could be dirty so i cleaned it and now it dosnt start at all. probably to my stupidity. i took off the carb cleaned it and re installed but i didnt pay attention to the throttle/needle cable adjustment. i didnt count the threads when i unthreaded the cable from the top of the carb where the needle sticks in. this might b a problem? im no expert but i am machanically inclined. so any help would be appreciated. i checked the spark plug and it is getting gas fyi. thanks.

I'm having same problem with my 200s!!! It'll start but won't idle at all and when driving it sputters, it'll go then kinda slow down, then "catch" and go again, I ordered the carb rebuild kit to see if that helps the problem at all. I just need the factory settings for the jets & everything, any idea where to get them online for free???
