Default Honda 250SX

Last fall I for a mere $150 rescued a Honda 250SX from a slow and painfull death in a barn or possibly a trip with a scrapper to the big trail in the sky!

It is in reasonably great shape! Since I snagged it I tore the carb down, and cleaned it out, pumped up the tires, changed the oil, and put on a plastic gas tank. It runs like a top!!! Still needs a few things, the handle bars have a little twerve to them and the rear grab bar needs to go or I need to finish cutting off the plumbing that some one had welded on there (hacked most of that crap off as soon as I got it home). Regardless I have been having a blast with it!

So my question is, are there any upgrades that people do to them? Exhaust? Cam? Suspension stuff? etc?

The poor old plastics are a little faded, some one said rub them down with tranny fluid.... anybody ever tried that??

Lucky! $150.00 is like stealing for that fine piece of trike history.

I almost felt guilty about it too!!! Only have a grand total of I think $400 to get it in the condition it sits. That includes battery and I had to get a new key switch, old one missing the keys, and a new used dash piece so the indicators weren't just flopping around.

Very nice. If I had more space and funds I could see a 250sx sitting in the garage.

It is a true Gem that is for sure!!! I don't really have any place to keep it but I find a way, I always do. I think I am going to get new decals for it next, would really like to find new shock boots for the front and maybe new tires. I want to find a way to spruce her up a bit too!!
