Default Wobbling Honda 200s ATC

I finally got the 200s running and took it for a ride and there's a definite wobble feeling I think from the front. The wheels are true and I can't see them wobbling. I jacked it up and the bearings are tight, no side to side play. I am baffled, the tires don't seem out of round. Can wheel balancing do that? I wouldn't think it would at such slow speeds but I am new to these. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Billy

Did you spin the back tires and check if either of the rear tires are moving up and down from the axle being bent?

Default Wobbling tires

I jacked it up and spun both front and back and observed them from the side and from the top and back and they all seem to be turning true. Bill

Default Wobbling tires

I put equal pressure in them and syill wobbling. I spun the rear wheels and I believe it is slightly bent, not much about 1/4" at the end. Would that much bend cause such a wobble? I found an axle for $25 on Ebay, can't hurt. Thanks, Billy

Any amount will feel as it's alot bigger. Figure 1/4" x 4 cause it's up and down and forward and back also.

A bent axle will do it, you will feel it more on hard pack soil/concreat than sand and soft pack dirt.

Also possibilities:

Is there tire sealant in the tires (slime, or similar)? this will cause a wobble when first starting to ride but gets better as the sealant is disbursed within the tire.

Is your chain in good condition? I had an issue for a while on my 185s where the chain was binding enough to cause a vibration when riding, I even swore the axle was bent when looking at it. I was ready to replace the axle, I only did the chain first only because I had it, and the vibration disappeared.

One thing on 3 wheelers is people put rear style tires on the front. You won't notice it off road but when you get on the pavment it will wobble. I have been there. The front tire on a 3 wheeler needs to be mellow check out some pictures online and u will see what I mean...thx jeff
