Default big red exhaust

is it ok to run a 250es big red with a streight pipe, i already have a pipe i built but i just wondered if it is ok to use it without hurting anything. it follows the same route the stock muffler follows but it is just a piece of pipe. it runs fine with it on but it seams to get hot after you ride it for a wile like on an open road or somthing no matter how easy you ride.

It might run lean. Check your plug after running it....What gets hot? the pipe or engine?

It's not good but, won't hurt it. The silencer gives it back pressure.

I ran a 200 4 stroke like that. People say that it hurts the valves? IMO I would put a silencer on it(better safe than sorry).

i agree ... running lean will also make the engine run hotter ... if the pipe is long enough it will heat the air before it gets back to the valves and not bend them by cooling them off to fast... id would do a plug check IMO if you wanna stay with the pipe
