Default 1982 185s electric start conversion

I got a 1982 185s, and the pull cord (even with the compression release) is h$!! on my shoulders (plus the pull cord is all ways problematic), has anyone ever tried to put an electric starter setup from say a 1984 200es on one, or is it no can do.

Default electric start

You would be better off selling the 185 and buying one with electric start. By the time you bought everything, you'd probably have more in it. I don't think the frame is meant to accomodate a starter. Probably be lots of fabrication needed to put electric start in the 185 frame.

unless you can find a junk one that has it. and if it be an easy bolt on. id say do it. other wise id agree that ur just better off selling it and buying one with it. altho iv never seen a 18s with an electric start. i couldnt image where the battery would go and stuff.

Good info on the electric start, I just sold my 185s and I'm going to buy 2 1984 200es one is complete but doesn't run, and the other one runs but needs the carb rebuilt, and the good news is the money that I got for the 185 will buy both of the 200's.
