ATC 185 Recoil Starter and Decompression Cable

Hello,

I am trying to reassemble the recoil starter on my ATC 185S (1983).

The rope broke, but I fixed that. Now, I am trying to reassemble the decompression release cable and spring in the recoil.

I know there are parts diagrams out there, but none show the assembled parts very well.

I am pretty mechanically inclined, I just need a little help "talking" me through it.

All the parts are there - nothing is missing.

Fixed! I found some images online that showed how the spring went back together, and I got it all put back together! The trike is now MUCH easier to pull!

Man... I cannot remember for the life of me where I found it, but I did a google search.

I will look through my stuff and try to get you the images.

Please also note the the Honda service manual explains how to do this. It is in steps 17-27 of the scanned document in the link I listed above (same page with image #198 in the upper left corner).

If you combine the words from the service manual and the pictures from the above link that the gentlemen took of him actually doing the installation, you should get it.
