i need to know what width pull start rope goes on an 86 atc 200...is it 1/4inch?

I'm not sure if it matters, but what 200 do you have?

i just want the strongest stuff i can get so it doesnt break again.....anybody have any experience with that cable thing in dennis kirk?

 

i use to make mine out of cable.

i would just replace the rope with small wire rope "cable" the smallest stuff the have at the true value hardware store. i would get those tiny cable clamps i call them bull dog clamps but maybe that is a slang term. they are like little ubolts with a sliding yoke that squeezes the cable with 2 nuts.

replace the rope with the cable in the saqme way as if it was rope and put the clamps on each end. one in the handle and one in the pully.

this worked flawlessly for me for years on my 110. the only thing it does that sort of sucks is the cable cuts into the pull cord housing where it comes out at . it cuts a groove in it, but i did not give a $#!T it was way better than a broken rope. a broken rope is a killer on a bike you cant push start.
